New Zealand has confirmed further changes to the Skilled Migrant Category ahead of August 2026. The updates introduce new residence pathways, revised wage settings, occupation lists and qualification rules.

New Zealand will recognise 47 additional NOL skill level 1–3 roles and increase the immigration median wage to $35 from 9 March 2026. Three roles shift to skill level 4, affecting Job Checks, AEWV settings and employer obligations.
