Effective 12.01am 6 July, international arrivals will no longer have to declare their COVID-19 vaccination status.
The Chief Medical Officer has advised it is no longer necessary for travellers to declare their vaccine status as part of Australia‘s management of COVID.
Unvaccinated Australians, as well as certain groups of visa holders, have been able to travel to Australia for some time and now from 6 July, the international border is open in full to unvaccinated travellers.
Incoming arrivals still need to comply with other COVID-19 restrictions, like wearing masks on flights bound for Australia.
