Born and raised in Bangkok, Dutsadeelak (Cat) Akarasakulkait arrived in Australia in October 2012 as an international student to pursue a master’s degree in professional accounting. Since 2017, she has been working in the immigration industry, gaining valuable experience over the years in both full-time and part-time roles.Â
With a diverse academic background, Cat holds a Secretarial Diploma, a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, a Master of Professional Accounting, and a Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice. Her passion for the immigration industry stems from her desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives while maintaining ethical and empathetic legal practices. She also thrives in the fast-paced nature of the industry, keeping her engaged, alert, and continuously learning.
Outside of work, Cat is an avid foodie who enjoys discovering new restaurants and cuisines. She has a deep love for travel, having explored around 15 countries, and finds joy in cooking, baking, and experimenting with new recipes. Her hobbies extend to gardening, learning new skills—whether languages, technology, or self-development—and volunteering occasionally. On a personal goal, she aims to be quadrilingual by the age of 70.
While she isn’t particularly fond of sports, Cat enjoys morning strolls, snorkelling, and once even took the plunge with a bungee jump. She is fluent in Thai and English, with basic understanding, reading and writing in Mandarin as well.
