Translation certification no longer required for New Zealand visitor visa

From 26 May 2025, New Zealand will no longer require certified translations for visitor visa applications, bringing its policy in line with Australia

The NZ border is opening to all visa holders earlier than planned – Arno Nothnagel, our NZ Immigration Director, provides businesses with some insights.

From 7 June 2022, Immigration NZ is adding 85 countries to the Low Tuberculosis (TB) Incidence Countries List. Included in the added countries are Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu as they now meet the requirements.

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) will restart processing on-hand visa applications for offshore partners and dependents of work and student visa holders from 31 May 2022.

Applications are now open for employer accreditation under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme.

New Zealand announces a major package of reforms which include an early opening of New Zealand’s border and a simplification of immigration settings.

The New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, is currently in Singapore and announced the relaunch and expansion of the Working Holiday Scheme with Singapore.

The Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Alex Hawke MP has announced the inclusion of 22 additional skilled occupations on the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL).

The New Zealand Government has widened the entry eligibility and eased isolation rules for further traveler groups to New Zealand from 12 April 2022.

The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) launches on 4 July 2022 – here’s what you need to know.

A new class border exception has been created to enable 300 overseas qualified teachers to enter New Zealand. This includes teachers who were already employed in New Zealand but left the country and were unable to return to their job due to the border closure and therefore may also be eligible.
