Immigration New Zealand has released the following updates:
Current processing of online visa categories
The following visa applications are currently being processed remotely whilst we experience Covid restrictions:
- Border Exceptions
- Essential Skills work visas
- Work to Residence visas
- Partnership visas (temporary and residence)
- Post-study work visas
- Student visas
- Visitor visas
- Section 61 requests
New Essential Skills Work Visa application form is online
On 19 July 2021, changes were announced to make Essential Skills visas to streamline application processing and increase visa duration for some workers who are staying with the same employer.
Online applications for Essential Skills Work Visas are available from 31 August 2021 and will be processed during Covid restrictions.
Paper Applications Not Being Processed
For security and privacy reasons, paper applications are not being processed by Immigration NZ as they cannot be removed from the office.
