Dex Chen was born in Shenzhen, China, a vibrant city close to Hong Kong, making her fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. She moved to Australia in 2011 and completed her Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance, at the University of Queensland in 2013. After graduation, Dex embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, successfully running a restaurant in Brisbane for seven years. During this time, she furthered her education by earning a Graduate Diploma in Australian Immigration Law and Practice from Griffith University, driven by her own migration experiences and a deep understanding of the vital role that migration agents play in helping others achieve their dreams.
In 2021, due to the impact of COVID-19, Dex temporarily returned to China to assist with her family’s e-commerce business. However, her passion for migration services brought her back to Australia, where she now uses her expertise to help others navigate the complex Australian immigration system.
Dex’s expertise in the migration field is enriched by her personal experience of navigating Australia’s visa systems, including the student and partner visas. Her dedication to helping clients achieve their migration goals is complemented by her strong foundation in finance and business management.
Outside of work, Dex is an avid sports enthusiast. She regularly plays women’s basketball with friends every Saturday night and enjoys a variety of sports, including table tennis, swimming, and snowboarding.
