Immigration New Zealand (INZ) have announced that the Expression of Interest selection process for residence under the Skilled Migrant Category and Parent Category have been deferred for another 6 months.
INZ said this decision would allow them to focus on processing applications from people who are in New Zealand or those eligible to travel here while border restrictions are in place. The postponement will also enable INZ to clear the backlog of current residence applications which are in process.
This decision will be reviewed by INZ in 2021, but in the meantime current EOIs submitted will not expire.
