Immigration New Zealand has announced that 10 additional trade occupations will be included in the Green List Work to Residence pathway from 18 August 2025, in a move aimed at addressing skill shortages and providing clearer residence pathways for in-demand trades professionals.Â
Â
This change allows eligible workers in key trades to apply for residence after working in New Zealand for 24 months in their listed occupation. The Green List is part of Immigration New Zealand’s targeted strategy to attract highly skilled workers needed to support national infrastructure and economic priorities.Â
