NZ border widens entry eligibility to more groups

The New Zealand Government has widened the entry eligibility and eased isolation rules for further traveler groups to New Zealand.

From 11:59 pm Tuesday 12 April, the following groups who still meet the conditions of their visa can travel to New Zealand without a border exception:

  • temporary work and student visa holders who still meet their visa requirements — this includes people currently outside New Zealand and those who leave and want to return
  • up to 5000 international students to study in semester 2
  • Australian citizens and permanent residents arriving from anywhere in the world.

For further details for these groups, see below and to find out more about arriving in New Zealand, click here.
