State and Territory Nominations Explained

  • State and Territory governments can nominate candidates for specific skilled migration and business innovation visas throughout the month.
  • These nominations are independent of the Department’s invitation rounds.

The Department of Home Affairs provides resources on various aspects of skilled migration, including:

  • Occupation ceilings for invitation rounds
  • Invitation process and cut-offs for Departmental invitation rounds (not applicable to State and Territory nominations)
