Since 12 December 2022, the new Migration Tasmania Application Gateway is open for registrations of interest and applications for skilled visa nomination from Tasmania.
Anyone seeking Tasmanian nomination for a subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional or subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa can now register in the Application Gateway.
How to apply?
- Check your eligibility: use the Eligibility Checker platform to confirm your eligibility and nomination pathway.
- Apply and send your Registration of Interest (ROI): create a Gateway account and submit an ROI to request your interest in visa state nomination. You will receive an email confirmation of your ROI, stating your assessment priority in the Tasmanian Skilled Migration queue.
- Invitation to Apply from Migration Tasmania: If you receive an invitation to apply for visa state nomination you will have 14 days to log back into your Gateway account, upload all required supporting documents and pay the service fee to lodge your application.
- Submit your visa application with the Department of Home Affairs: if your application is successful and supported for Tasmanian visa state nomination, you can go ahead and submit your visa application with the DOH.
