The Australian Government has announced that the stay period on the Sub Class 485 Graduate work stream visa will be increased from 18 months to 24 months.
The requirements for applications will now be more efficient by removing the requirement for graduates to nominate an occupation from the skills occupation list. The requirement for a skills assessment is therefore no longer needed and these changes will come into effect from July 1st 2022.
At this stage the timeline has not been announced for how long these regulations will be in place for, and whether it will be extended beyond 2022/2023.
