The Employee Mobility Institute (TEMi) has formed a new industry forum to benefit Australia’s mobility and workforce management community. The Immigration Advisory Group (IAG) has been created to bring together senior mobility practitioners, immigration specialists and government representatives to support clearer, more coordinated engagement on immigration matters that influence workforce planning.
The IAG has been designed to give employers and mobility professionals greater access to timely insights, structured dialogue and a more unified industry voice. With immigration frameworks playing an increasingly central role in talent attraction and retention, the group will help ensure organisations remain informed and prepared for policy developments that affect the movement of skilled workers in Australia.
Operating under TEMi’s governance structure, the IAG will focus on identifying sector‑wide challenges, sharing emerging trends, and contributing to coordinated advocacy efforts. Regular engagement with the Department of Home Affairs will form a key part of the group’s work, helping to strengthen communication channels and support more consistent information flow across the mobility industry.
We are proud that our CEO at Absolute Immigration Group, Jamie Lingham, has been appointed as TEMi’s Immigration Liaison Officer, working alongside a panel of 9 experienced mobility and immigration professionals from across the region. In this role, Jamie will support structured communication between industry and government, helping ensure the perspectives of employers, practitioners and mobility leaders are represented in ongoing discussions.
The establishment of the IAG marks a positive step forward for the sector, reinforcing the importance of collaboration, transparency and shared expertise in navigating Australia’s evolving immigration landscape.
