Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has announced that the online form for applying for re-accreditation as an Accredited Employer under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme is now available on their website.
Accreditation Length:
• Standard accreditation: 24 months from the approval date.
• Triangular and franchise businesses: 12 months from the approval date.
Renewing or Not Renewing:
• Renewing: Apply online using the new form.
• Not Renewing: No action required.
Applying at the Right Time:
• Check the current processing times on the Immigration New Zealand website before applying.
• Only apply when your accreditation is nearing its expiry date.
Choosing the Right Accreditation Type:
• Ensure application is done for the correct type of accreditation. There are no refunds for incorrect applications.

Evidence Requirements for Renewal:
• Renewal requirements are the same for all businesses.
• The process remains evidence and declaration based.
• Expected evidence:
o Financial statements proving financial viability.
o GST or PAYE records displaying IRD number.
Job Check Processing Times:
While processing times have improved, allow at least six weeks for Job Checks.
