{"id":9800,"date":"2021-09-10T10:48:24","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T00:48:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/?p=9800"},"modified":"2023-10-20T08:42:17","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T08:42:17","slug":"workforce-skills-pathways-ws-in-victoria-hospitality-and-early-childhood-teachers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/news\/workforce-skills-pathways-ws-in-victoria-hospitality-and-early-childhood-teachers","title":{"rendered":"Workforce Skills Pathways (WS) in Victoria: Hospitality and Early Childhood Teachers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Skills gaps in particular industries within Victoria, are addressed by the Workforce Skills Pathway (WSP).<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that if an individual is eligible to apply or has been asked to apply under a Workforce Skills Pathway, they do not need to be currently working in a targeted industry sector to be selected to apply for visa nomination (but they do need the qualifications outlined).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Workforce Skills Pathways:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00a0Hospitality<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To assist the hospitality industry and address labour shortages caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Victorian Government has established the Hospitality pathway for highly skilled cooks and chefs.<\/p>\n<p>An applicant must be eligible under either the subclass 190 or subclass 491 Victorian visa nomination criteria, and be living and working in Victoria as a cook or chef.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Early Childhood Teachers<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Victorian Government is investing almost $5 billion over the decade to deliver Three-Year-Old Kindergarten. This investment will create an additional 6,000 teaching jobs across Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with the Department of Education and Training, applications are acceptedns from eligible early childhood teachers for Victorian nominated skilled visas.<\/p>\n<p>An applicant must be eligible under either the subclass 190 or subclass 491 Victorian visa nomination criteria, and be living and working in Victoria as an Early Childhood Teacher.
