The Department of Home Affairs has launched a new Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) App for holders of passports from the countries below:<\/p>\n
What is an ETA?<\/strong><\/p>\n An ETA provides authorisation to travel to and enter Australia and is electronically linked to your passport.<\/p>\n It is for short term stays for tourism or business visitor activities such as attending a conference, making business enquiries, or for contractual negotiations.<\/p>\n An ETA is not a work visa. If you would like to work in Australia you must determine which visa is suitable for your needs and visit.<\/p>\n You still need to be granted a\u00a0travel exemption<\/a>\u00a0in order to enter Australia at this time.<\/p>\n Applying for an ETA<\/strong><\/p>\n In order to apply for an ETA you must hold one of the passports listed above and the details provided for your ETA applications must exactly match your details as they appear on your passport.<\/p>\n You can apply online here.<\/a><\/p>\n To apply online you must be outside Australia.<\/p>\n
