The 187 visa consists of two streams: Direct Entry stream and Temporary Residence Transition stream.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Direct Entry stream conditions for applicants<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have an eligible occupation that is on the relevant list of skilled occupations<\/li>\n<li>Have at least 3 years relevant work experience (exemptions apply)<\/li>\n<li>Have a positive skills assessment<\/li>\n<li>Have the relevant licensing, registration or membership applicable to the state or territory you intend to work in<\/li>\n<li>Be nominated by an eligible sponsor<\/li>\n<li>Be under 45 years old<\/li>\n<li>Meet the DHA\u2019s health requirement (this applies both to you, as the applicant, and any other family members)<\/li>\n<li>Meet the DHA\u2019s character requirement (this applies both to you, as the applicant, and any other family members)<\/li>\n<li>Sign the Australian values statement<\/li>\n<li>Have at least a Competent level of English language<\/li>\n<li>Have paid back your debt to the Australian government<\/li>\n<li>Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Temporary Residence Transition stream conditions for applicants<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have the required skills needed to perform the tasks of the nominated occupation.<\/li>\n<li>Have the relevant licensing, registration or membership applicable to the state or territory you intend to work in<\/li>\n<li>Be nominated by the employer who sponsored your temporary work visa<\/li>\n<li>Be under 45 years old<\/li>\n<li>Have either one of the following visa:\n<ul>\n<li>a subclass 457 visa;<\/li>\n<li>a subclass 482 (TSS) visa or<\/li>\n<li>a bridging visa A, B or C (granted after your subclass 457 or Temporary Skill Shortage [TSS] visa expired)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Meet the DHA\u2019s health requirement (this applies both to you, as the applicant, and any other family members)<\/li>\n<li>Meet the DHA\u2019s character requirement (this applies both to you, as the applicant, and any other family members)<\/li>\n<li>Sign the Australian values statement<\/li>\n<li>Have at least a Competent level of English language<\/li>\n<li>Have paid back your debt to the Australian government<\/li>\n<li>If you owe the Australian Government money, you must have paid it back or have a formal arrangement to pay it back.<\/li>\n<li>Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Regional Migration Scheme (RMS) visa allows the holder to be sponsored by their employer in regional Australia to work and live permanently in Australia.
