The Government will close the Pandemic Event visa on 1 February 2024<\/a> due to the cessation of the circumstances that prompted its creation at the height of COVID lockdowns and travel restrictions.<\/p>\n However, from September 2, 2023<\/span><\/strong>, only current holders of a subclass 408 (Pandemic stream) visa will be able to apply. New applications for the Pandemic Event visa from September 2, 2023 until its complete closure on 1 February 2024, will have a six-month validity and will need to pay a Visa Application Charge of $405.<\/p>\n If you (or an employee) are in Australia on a visa carrying work rights and were intending on submitting an initial application for a subclass 408 (Pandemic stream) visa, you MUST have 90 days or less remaining on your current visa before 11:59 pm AEST on Friday 1 September 2023 which is the last opportunity to submit.<\/p>\n –<\/span><\/p>\n For any questions regarding this update or any further immigration matters, please <\/strong>\u00a0email us at <\/strong>aisupport@absoluteimmigration.com<\/strong><\/a> or call <\/strong>1300 227 658<\/strong><\/p>\n
