{"id":42494,"date":"2023-05-17T13:10:14","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T03:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/?p=42494"},"modified":"2023-10-19T11:02:36","modified_gmt":"2023-10-19T11:02:36","slug":"urgent-update-labour-market-testing-new-70k-tsmit-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/news\/urgent-update-labour-market-testing-new-70k-tsmit-change","title":{"rendered":"Urgent Update: Labour Market Testing &#038; new $70k TSMIT change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">&#8211;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Following the recent announcement that the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) will increase to $70,000 (plus Superannuation) from 1 July 2023, Jamie Lingham, our CEO and Global Immigration Leader, provides urgent guidance of what this means to employers as further details have come to hand.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie explains that employers of foreign workers on a 482 visa will need to undertake a Labour Market Test (LMT) (advertising the role) <u>as soon as possible<\/u> as they will need to lodge the visa applications to the Department the day after the 28-day advertising period.
