The 17 occupations on the PMSOL were selected based on advice from the National Skills Commission and the Government has stated they will review the occupations on the PMSOL regularly.

It is expected that the 17 occupations on PMSOL will be given priority processing over existing skilled migration occupation lists, however other lists will remain active with visas still being processed as usual.

If you are an offshore applicant whose occupation is one of the 17 listed on the PMSOL and you have your visa application approved, you will still need to apply for a travel exemption in order to enter Australia and then complete 14 days of quarantine at your own expense.
