{"id":7636,"date":"2020-09-11T14:45:07","date_gmt":"2020-09-11T14:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coffeeobsession.com.au\/?p=3641"},"modified":"2023-10-20T06:19:18","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T06:19:18","slug":"new-zealand-changes-border-exception-criteria-for-critical-workers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/nz\/news\/new-zealand-changes-border-exception-criteria-for-critical-workers\/","title":{"rendered":"New Zealand changes border exception criteria for critical workers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister of Immigration has announced changes to border exceptions for critical workers, following on from similar changes to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/en\/articles\/NZ-new-border-exceptions\">border exceptions for temporary work visa holders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement provides more clarity to the assessment criteria for employers wanting to request a border exception for their workers under the \u2018other critical worker\u2019 category.<\/p>\n<p>The are two key changes to the criteria for employers seeking a travel exception for a worker under the \u2018other critical worker\u2019 category which are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have technical or specialist skills that are not \u2018readily obtainable\u2019 in New Zealand.
