David Coleman MP, Minister for Immigration, has recently announced he will be placing a stronger focus on attracting migrants to regional areas. The Government introduced two new regional visas to begin in November 2019 in an attempt to attract more skilled workers to regional parts of Australia and enforce their commitment to settling, living and working in these locations.<\/p>\n

The two new visas are the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa and the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa with 23,000 places made available under this program. These visas will replace the current 187 and 489 regional visas. Keep an eye on this section for more information as the Department releases further information.<\/p>\n
