Reduced Advertising for Dairy Cattle Farm Jobs

To support the dairy industry, the New Zealand Government has introduced a temporary adjustment to the Job Check advertising requirements for ANZSCO level 5 dairy cattle farm positions. This change is designed to simplify the recruitment process, ensuring that employers can hire and train workers swiftly, particularly before the critical calving season.

New Advertising Timeframe

Previously, employers were required to advertise dairy cattle farm roles for 21 days. However, under the new temporary changes, this requirement has been reduced to just 14 days. Employers must advertise these roles both nationally and with Work and Income. This reduced timeframe is applicable for Job Check applications submitted before 14 July 2024.

Prioritisation of Applications

To further support the dairy sector, Immigration New Zealand will prioritise the allocation of Job Check and Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) applications for dairy cattle farm workers until 1 August 2024. This prioritisation is designed to speed up bringing workers onshore and ensuring they are trained and ready to work during the critical calving season.

How to Apply

Employers looking to take advantage of this temporary change must submit their Job Check applications by the 14 July 2024 deadline. Detailed information on the Job Check process and advertising requirements can be found on the Immigration New Zealand website.

 • Increased Efficiency: Prioritized application processing helps meet critical seasonal needs.
