{"id":20751,"date":"2021-11-24T13:20:21","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T02:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/?p=20751"},"modified":"2023-10-20T08:46:22","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T08:46:22","slug":"new-zealand-borders-are-set-to-reopen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/absoluteimmigration.com\/nz\/news\/new-zealand-borders-are-set-to-reopen\/","title":{"rendered":"New Zealand Borders are Set to Reopen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s the news that so many thousands have been waiting for \u2013 January 2022, New Zealand will begin welcoming in Kiwis and other eligible travelers.<\/p>\n<p>There are three key steps for when travellers can enter New Zealand without going into MIQ and a list of requirements \u2013 here\u2019s what you need to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Step 1 \u2013<\/strong> opening to fully vaccinated New Zealand citizens and those residence-class visa holders and other travellers eligible under our current settings from Australia from 11.59 pm on 16 January 2022 (provided they have been in Australia or New Zealand for the past 14 days)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Step 2 \u2013<\/strong> opening to fully vaccinated New Zealand citizens and those residence-class visa holders and other travellers eligible under our current border settings, from all but Very High-Risk countries, from 11.59pm Sunday 13 February.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Step 3 \u2013<\/strong> opening to fully vaccinated foreign nationals (possibly staged by visa category), from 30 April onwards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All travellers not required to go into MIQ will still require:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a negative pre-departure test<\/li>\n<li>proof of being fully vaccinated<\/li>\n<li>a passenger declaration about travel history<\/li>\n<li>a day 0\/1 test on arrival<\/li>\n<li>a requirement to self-isolate for seven days, and<\/li>\n<li>a final negative test before entering the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As further details are provided for people holding existing MIAS vouchers for MIQ dates after the steps commence and on self-isolation for groups, we will provide updates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For any assistance, please contact\u00a0Arno: <a href=\"mailto:Arno.Nothnagel@absoluteimmigration.com\">Arno.Nothnagel@absoluteimmigration.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s the news that so many thousands have been waiting for \u2013 January 2022, New Zealand will be welcoming in Kiwis and other eligible travelers.
