The AEWV is a new type of accreditation and employers will need to apply, even if they have been accredited under the previous system.<\/p>\n<p>If businesses can\u2019t hire and train New Zealand workers and where genuine skill or labour shortages exist, accredited employers can hire skilled migrant workers using the AEWV.<br \/>\nFrom 4 July 2022, an employer must be AEWV accredited to hire a migrant worker.
